Tough Mudder? Oh Yeah!



What am I thinking??   It's two weeks after my September marathon!  Am I nuts!?!  The things I do for friends!    I'll be getting muddy -- and possibly electrocuted -- with this gal:

Ali.
I love you, girlfriend, but I would have been happy just to hang out having dinner -- which I may be eating through a straw after September 28.

So, training?  I'm thinking I may need to work on doing lots of pull ups.  I'm not sure I can do even one at this point.  Anyone have any other helpful suggestions?

  1. My husbands friend has been bugging me to do this too. We'll see. He tried to convince Derek to do it too.....almost had him until he said that the course was only 1 mile long and I busted out laughing. LOL Have fun!!

  2. These mud runs scare me. I worry about getting injured and losing my season. But, it's after your marathon, so no worries!

    From what I understand, lots of upper body. Pull ups, tricep dips, shoulder press...

    But I'd really focus on the marathon. From what I understand, you can bypass any obstacle with a pushup or situp penalty or something
